Bohemian DSP Purse Bag A-2 Card Carrier

Happy New Catalog Stampers.  For the Power Crafters team shoe box swap I wanted to make a card holder for everyone to tuck their completed projects in and to hold some little gifts from me.  I saw these super cute box bags on several peoples blogs but none that would hold the cards and envelopes and use DSP efficiently.  I decided to pull out my grid paper and make my own pattern using my past sewing experience to construct my bag.  I wanted to get 4 of the same bag from the two sheets of the same DSP that come in a pack. I cut my two sheets of DSP together at 8 inches, cut the 4 x 12 piece at 8 long that is the first bag.  then I rotated the 8 x 12 90° and cut at 4 inches and 8 inches.  I keep each of the little pairs of paper together as they came of the trimmer this created identical repeats on the papers so that my bags have the paper repeat the same on the front and back and the seams on the side match up.
The picture to the left here show how the pattern flows perfectly around the bag.  you just have to be sure you don't flip the paper top to bottom as you secure the sides to the bottom of the bag.  I then cut 8  1/2 inch strips of card stock for the trim and handles they are 8 1/2 inches long.  I stamped 6 pieces on one side for the top and bottom edges and two on both sides for the handles.   I used the I Think Your Great stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s new catalog.  The I cut my Box bottom card stock 7 x 2.5 inches and scored all sides at 1/2 inch.  made one snip in each corner to create my tabs.  I used Fast Fuse by Stampin' Up! for all my adhering.  I used the build a brad brads and Candy Dots for my handles.  All my supplies are listed below.  In the last picture you can see the card I did for my shoe box.  The finished inside of the box bottom is 6 x 1.5 and this was perfect for carrying 5 cards and envelopes-maybe a couple more. Mine are pictured with the card kits sticking out but one the cards are assembled the fit quite nice with just about 3/8 of an inch of card peeking up over the edge of the bag.   Maybe when I get some time I'll make a tutorial -let me know do you prefer video or picture tutorials?
